We are back with more information on Erica and John’s beautiful fall 2011 wedding at Reunion Resort. The ceremony was set in Reunion’s outdoor event tent overlooking the golf course. Erica and John’s Jewish ceremony took place under a gorgeous coastal inspired chuppah created by Lee Forrest of Lee Forrest Design. The ceremony led by the Rabbi was one of the most heartfelt and personal ceremonies I’ve witnessed. From there, our team directed the guests to the resort lobby bar to enjoy cocktails. The dinner reception took place in the Reunion Grande Ballroom. Here the rich color palette was carried out through the table linens, romantic centerpieces featuring coastal elements such as bleached starfish and coral, and uplighting provided by Les Kopasz of Soundwave Entertainment, who also provided dj services.
There are so many great photo locations at Reunion on the resort grounds including the rooftoop terrace at Eleven and the grand lobby fountain pictured in the images above.
I love this photograph of the guys!
Denise Wilson of Dogwood Blossom Stationery designed the invitations and the wedding day paper including the program featured in the photo below.

Erica and John met on Match.com and used matchboxes to direct guests to their tables as seen in the photo below.
The cake designed by Priscilla Lucas of Party Flavors was perfection!
Congratulations, Erica and John! It was a pleasure to serve you and your families. The Uniquely Yours team wishes you a marriage filled with love, lots of laughter, and a lifetime of blessings!

Erica and John were recently married at Reunion Resort. Uniquely Yours had the pleasure of bringing together all the details and coordinating both the ceremony and reception for this very special couple. The super talented Jason and Sara Martin of Concept Photography were on hand to capture all the emotion of the day. Erica and John opted for a “first look” creative session prior to the wedding which took place on the Reunion golf course under a most majestic oak tree. I think you’ll agree the images are stunning.

Don’t you love the creativity that went into this photo?

The First Look – Love the sunlight through the trees
Inspired by the location of her engagement – east coast Florida – Erica desired to create a look that included subtle coastal motifs. Her colors were orange and purple. These colors are usually not immediately associated with coastal elements, but with the emphasis on subtlety, we were able to bring it all together with style.

Beautiful couple – I love this photograph!
Check back tomorrow for more images from Erica and John’s wedding. We will be sharing several detail photographs from their lovely outdoor ceremony and ballroom reception.
As I was browsing through the wedding and design blogosphere this week, I happened upon these golden gilded beauties – champagne lollipops.

Vintage Confections offers a variety of unique lollipop designs and custom candies. The lollipops are my favorite, and I see using them in guest amenity bags, candy/dessert displays, or as a special gift for a sweet someone.
We were thrilled to have a recent feature on Every Last Detail! The Uniquely Yours team collaborated with Chad Pilster of Pilster Photography to create a unique, Spanish styled inspirational photo shoot. The backdrop of this beautiful shoot was none other than Ceviche Tapas Bar and Restaurant in downtown Orlando. The rich golds and reds of the venue inspired our color palette which resulted in a romantic design featuring beautiful, rich linens and an abundance of candlelight. Our goal was to tell a story through the shoot – lovely lady falls in love with mysterious stranger – which allowed us to create a variety of scenes throughout the venue. Enjoy and please, leave us some blog love – we love hearing your comments.

Engagement season is here, and we are thrilled to be meeting so many happy couples excited to plan their weddings. Uniquely Yours lead planner extraordinaire and designer, Sara Shoemaker, offers timely advice and smart suggestions aimed at helping newly engaged couples who are just starting the planning process.
CONGRATULATIONS, YOU’RE ENGAGED! NOW WHAT?
So you’ve said yes and you can’t seem to keep anything but a smile plastered on your face. You’ve showed the ring to anyone who will even glance your way and even taken close up pictures to show everyone on Facebook and Twitter. But now what do you do? What’s the next step towards making it official and declaring your love to the world?
First, talk with your fiancé (the new word you have added to every other sentence) and figure out what you both want. No need to get into major specifics but start with the 5 W’s. Who do you want to attend? Will this be an intimate affair or will perhaps every distant relative and every one of your mother’s friends from church be attending? The size of the event will often dictate budget, location, and even time of year. What type of event do you want? Formal, casual, destination, lavish and elegant, or simple and classic? When will this special day take place? It’s ok to not have a date, but a year and season are a great start. Where in general do you want to get married? Back in your hometown, where you live currently, or in an exotic destination location? Are hotels out of the question? Is a white sand beach or other outdoor location required? And think about why you want to have this event. Share your story with your guests and let your wedding be a personal expression of your lifestyles and love for each other.

And the main question before you start planning involves the big “B” word…BUDGET. Who is contributing to the wedding finances? It is important to know how much each party is providing so you can stay on budget. Also discuss how these finances will be dispersed. If the groom’s mother is paying for the flowers, is she paying the florist directly for all of the items you order (within your specified budget)? Or is she providing you with $2,000 to pay towards the flowers? Although money is an extremely uncomfortable conversation you will appreciate outlining this at the beginning and not running into money troubles or family squabbles.
To best maximize your budget and assist with a smooth planning process, consult the help of a wedding planner. Most wedding planners offer a variety of services to meet your service needs and budget. They will make sure you have covered all the details with regard to your wedding and refer qualified wedding professionals that are a great fit for your particular personality and budget parameters. If you don’t know where to start looking for a planner, ask friends for referrals and consult professional associations for planners in your area (such as Association of Bridal Consultants or Association of Certified Professional Wedding Consultants). When you meet with a planner share your 5 W’s and the big “B”. Ask the planner how they can help save you money and specifically how they will be assisting you. Do not hesitate to ask for references from other clients they have worked with. When making your choice, consider all that a planner offers professionally, personally and financially. Now your wedding planner will get you started and walk you through all that you need to do! (Of course, if you are planning a wedding in Florida or looking for a team to plan your destination wedding in Florida, please give our team at Uniquely Yours a call. We would love to help you get the planning process started, and offer a variety of options customized to suit your planning service needs.)
Enjoy this time with your fiancé, family and friends (and hopefully one of them will throw you a nice engagement party). Happy Planning!

Well, hello there dear readers. It was busy late summer going into the fall wedding season with our Uniquely Yours couples. We are eager to see what new trends, products, and ideas await us as we look forward to 2012.
But before we begin any new posts, we need to bring you the final details from Audrey and Jeremy’s Orlando destination wedding picking right up where we left off with this series in July.
Sticking with Audrey’s colors and little bird motif, Lee Forrest created an incredible tree structure showcasing bird escort cards “flying” on ribbon strands.
Rather than sign the typical lined guest book, guests were instead encouraged to sign Jeremy’s snowboard which was customized with the couple’s logo just for the wedding. This was a great way to infuse Jeremy’s interests and style into the wedding day.
The ballroom reception tables featured champagne and pink linens with beautiful white centerpieces, and a special structure created by Lee Forrest to showcase the wedding cake by Party Flavors.
Groom’s Cake Reflecting Groom’s Favorite Sandwich
Lighting was provided by Sophisticated Gents Event Design. As the evening progressed the lights took on different hues appropriate for the tone of the event from salads and entree to cake and dancing. Audrey and Jeremy had a great group of guests and DJ Frederick of Sophisticated Gents kept them on the dance floor through the late night hours.
One of our favorite features was the candy buffet which Audrey had Uniquely Yours design to suit her overall theme. The candy buffet featured a variety of pink sweets and Italian cookies and pastries hailing from Audrey’s favorite New York bakeries.
The reception was an incredible celebration of love for this very special couple. It was truly an honor to work with Audrey and Jeremy as they embarked on their next great adventure together. We wish them a lifetime of happiness and wonderful memories.
